green tea chiffon cake

I seem to be baking a lot lately. This time it's green tea chiffon cake! I've been trying to perfect my chiffon cake making abilities. It's not as easy as it seems...

Attempt #1 - earl grey - completely flat cake because of no electric mixer
Attempt #2 - earl grey - turned out well, good flavor and texture, now on to new flavors...
Attempt #3 - mango - proportions were not right and cake turned out soggy
Attempt #4 - green tea - not bad, slightly underbaked

But at least this time, I can stick the green tea cake in the toaster oven for a little bit and it'll bake itself to the right toasty doneness. This time I added cream of tartar to maintain a better fluffiness. Guess it worked out fine.

Now I have this stash of imperfect macarons and chiffon cake to eat. Oh bother...
